What if you could finally receive all of the treatment while relaxed and free of fear and pain?

At Brock Dental we aim to make you feel comfortable while receiving treatment.

Using sedation, people with dental phobias and anxieties can receive the same dental treatment as every other patient.  The types of sedation used at Brock Dental include oral sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas). The type we use will depend on the needs and health of the patient.

The end result is that the patient and dentist are comfortable providing and receiving the best possible dental care- safe, and free of stress and pain.

What is Sedation Dentistry?

When you select oral sedation, we ask you arrive at the dental office 1 hour before your appointment.  We will do a pre-operative screening and take appropriate vital readings prior to administering the triazolam medication.  You will quietly wait in our operatory room while the medication takes effect.  You will be monitored at all times.  Following the appoinment, you will need someone to drive you home  from your appointment.  You will likely be fatigue for some time so don't  make any major plans.

With nitrous oxide, you can arrive and leave on your own.  You simply breath in the gas via a nasal prop.  Within several minutes you will begin to feel the effects which generally is a pleasurable or euphoric feeling spreading throughout your body.  You may feel a bit light headed and often people get the "giggles".  Once the treatment is completed, the nitrous oxide is turned off and oxygen is kept on to help flush any residual gas from the body.  You may wonder why you waited this long to try this great and simple sedation.
